Good to know

Common questions

How many people can the boat take?

NOAH has six double en-suite cabins, so 12 guests sleep comfortably. Each cabin also has a sofa bed for a third person from the same group — a child or a friend — which takes the boat up to 18 guests.

What's included in a charter?

Every trip is full board: all meals cooked on board, filtered drinking water, tea and coffee, WiFi, airport transfers, fuel for the week's route and the crew. Snorkelling gear can be rented on board if you don't bring your own; alcohol and soft drinks are extra. For custom itineraries — or if fuel prices rise sharply — a fuel surcharge may apply; we'll always tell you before you pay.

When is the best season?

The Maldives is warm year-round. December to April is the dry season with the calmest seas and clearest water for snorkelling; May to November brings the best surf swells and greener islands. There's no bad month — tell us what you care about most and we'll advise.

Can we bring children?

Yes, children of all ages are welcome. Infants under 2 travel free (and are exempt from green tax); children aged 2–11 get 50% off when they share a cabin with an adult. Please bear in mind that NOAH is a boat at sea — open decks, steep stairs, a swim ladder and deep water all around, and medical help can be hours away — so young children must be watched by an adult at all times and wear a life jacket in the dinghy and in the water. Tell us their ages when you book so we can prepare.

What happens on arrival and departure days?

Every trip starts and ends in Malé. On arrival day, a member of our team meets you at the airport and looks after you in Hulhumalé while the boat is cleaned and prepared, and you board in the afternoon. On the last morning you disembark after breakfast. If your flight is early, you go straight to the airport — for very early flights we moor close to Malé the night before. If you fly later in the day, our team looks after you in Hulhumalé until it's time to go. Depending on your flight times, you may have lunch in Hulhumalé on either day — this isn't included in the price. Send us your flight times once you have them and we'll plan around them.

How do payments work?

When you book online, a 30% deposit confirms your week and the balance is due 60 days before departure (for trips less than 60 days away, the full amount is paid at booking). For custom trips arranged with us directly, we'll walk you through the payment options.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes. The galley happily cooks vegetarian, vegan, halal and allergy-aware menus — let us know when you book and the chef will plan around it.
