The NOAH safari boat at anchor under a Maldivian sunset

The boat

Life on board NOAH

Big shaded decks, crisp white cabins and a crew that runs the ship around you.

At a glance

A home between the atolls

NOAH is a classic Maldivian safari boat with a navy hull, bright white decks and space to properly unwind. Built in 2004, lengthened in 2008 and given a major refit in 2026, she sleeps your whole group in modern en-suite cabins, feeds you from her own galley, and anchors wherever the day takes you — a reef, a sandbank, a surf break or a quiet lagoon all to yourselves.

The sun deck

The top deck is where days begin and end — relaxation mats and blue cushions at the bow, open sky overhead, and nothing but ocean in every direction. Breakfast up here as the atolls wake, sundowners as the sky turns orange.

Shaded decks & saloon

Down a level, the covered decks and saloon are the boat's living room — long cushioned benches, a big dining table, and shade when the midday sun is at full power. There's a bar with soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits, plus a TV and hi-fi for the evenings. This is where lunches stretch long and card games go late.

The boat herself

Twenty-three metres of classic Maldivian boatbuilding — navy hull, white superstructure and a silhouette you'll recognise from any beach. A rooftop solar array keeps her quiet at anchor, and a fast dinghy with a 60 HP outboard runs you ashore, out to the reef or off fishing whenever you fancy it.

Sleep well

Six modern en-suite cabins

NOAH has six double cabins — two at deck level and four below deck — for 12 guests, or up to 18 using the sofa beds. The 2026 refit left them bright, modern and colourful, with new air-conditioning throughout.

  • Private en-suite in every cabin — shower, toilet, wash basin and hot running water
  • Adjustable air conditioning, plus portholes and wall-mounted fans for the sea breeze
  • Bed linen and towels provided

Everything cooked on board

Unless you've arranged otherwise, every meal is freshly prepared and served on board. Breakfast is eggs, sausage, toast, butter and jam with fruit, juice, tea and coffee. Lunch and dinner are usually fish or chicken with rice or noodles and side vegetables — plentiful, varied, and as mild or as spicy as you like it.

There's afternoon tea whenever it's wanted — hot or cold drinks with biscuits and cake, which lands perfectly after a long snorkelling trip. Menus follow whatever is good and available that day, so we can't promise a fixed meal plan, but we'll work around your requirements. Nobody has ever gone hungry.

The crew

NOAH sails with an experienced international crew of Maldivian, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi staff, working as your captain, chef and cabin steward for the length of the trip. They drive the dinghy, find the dolphins, cook your catch and generally make the whole thing feel effortless.
